The Center for Anxiety is an independent specialty clinic with offices in New York and Boston, MA, providing evidence-based treatments to adults, adolescents, and children, for anxiety and related symptoms. Founded in 2011 by Harvard Psychologist David H. Rosmarin, PhD, ABPP, we take a holistic yet scientific approach to patient care.
Our mission is to synergistically combine clinical practice, education, and research, to produce wondrous results. Our patients get better quickly, with reduced symptoms and dramatic improvements in their daily lives.
Our exceptionally trained staff has been selected explicitly for their commitment to the highest standard of professional care, providing our patients with an optimal experience from their very first call. Our collaborative clinical team is comprised of professional and well-trained practitioners, who tailor treatments to each patient, accounting for family, social, economic, cultural, and spiritual/religious needs. Using Cognitive Behavioral treatments, coupled with ongoing research and assessment, we offer patients the most effective treatments in the minimum amount of time.
Clinical Outcome Evaluations
Unlike many providers, we utilize a research-focused assessment tool to improve treatment success. Clinical outcomes are rigorously evaluated by our on site laboratory through the use of cutting-edge software, to provide real-time feedback to clinicians and patients throughout the treatment process. Most importantly, this brings about the greatest improvement for our patients, allowing our clinicians to adapt and revise treatment protocols when necessary for greater effectiveness.
We created our logo specifically to reflect our goals. The three circles represent intrapersonal, interpersonal and spiritual aspects of life, and the flower in the center represents human flourishing, which occurs when one has healthy and thriving relationships in each of these areas.

We provide an Intensive Outpatient treatment Program (IOP) involving concentrated sessions over a brief 5-10 day period. This program is ideal for patients with more complex or severe anxiety, OCD, and other conditions, and also for out-of-town patients who come to us from across the United States, Canada, and around the world. This program offers quick results and focused, personalized treatment.
We place great importance on sharing our expertise in anxiety; therefore we regularly offer free educational programs to the community. In addition, we provide training/supervision programs to local area schools, clinicians, and clergy, focused on how to implement and evaluate evidence-based behavioral approaches in a variety of settings.
