Laura Vraney, PsyD

Laura Vraney, PsyD (Rockland Office) is a supervising clinical psychologist at the Center for Anxiety. She completed her doctorate in clinical psychology at Illinois School of Professional Psychology, and a postdoctoral fellowship at McLean Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Dr. Vraney specializes in the treatment of eating and feeding disorders among adolescents and young adults. Additional areas of specialty include anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, body image concerns, and providing psychoeducation to members of the United States military and their family. Dr. Vraney is warm and approachable, and she takes a collaborative, strength-based and holistic approach as the foundation of her work, informed by a variety of evidence-based approaches including Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral Therapies, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
